Coronation Street spoilers follow from Monday’s episode (November 18), which is available to watch now on streaming service ITVX but hasn’t yet aired on ITV1.

Cassie took drastic action when her unofficial job as Ken’s carer unexpectedly came under threat.
Viewers have seen Cassie look after Ken after he suffered a fall at home back in June.

In Monday’s episode, Ken returned from a holiday and informed his family that he’d now have to let Cassie go for the sake of his finances. He also felt confident that he’s in a much better position with his health after his recovery.
Most of Ken’s family were relieved over the news, feeling pleased that untrustworthy Cassie would soon be out of the picture.
Cassie appeared to take the news graciously as she immediately began searching for other job opportunities in the area.
Ken kindly offered to help Cassie with her CV, providing her with a sly opportunity to extend her work at the Barlow house.

Official spoilers for Wednesday’s episode (November 20) have already revealed that Cassie’s plan will ultimately pay off, as Ken starts to feel unwell later this week and offers her an extra pound per hour to keep her job after all.
Ken’s family are disapproving over his u-turn, but as he becomes increasingly sick, will Cassie be caught out?
