McCoy’s Chophouse is for sale: What to know about the Endicott restaurant’s future

McCoy’s Chophouse is officially on the market.

In a statement posted on Facebook on Sunday, Nov. 17, the Endicott restaurant’s owner, Jim McCoy, said the business was for sale.

The chophouse on W. Main Street in Endicott opened in 2020, merging McCoy’s previous Lampy’s and Number 5 restaurants.

While the business is on the market, McCoy said the restaurant is not closing.

“No, we aren’t closing,” McCoy said in the statement. “In fact, we’re improving; updating the menu and starting some new promotions.”

According to the online property listing, the restaurant is on the market for $809,000.

McCoy commended his staff for their continued hard work and expressed that the “only weak person” within the business is himself, “and that’s the change I want to make.” Despite this, McCoy doesn’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon.

“However, if I do sell, I’ll probably still be around,” said McCoy. “What else would I do?”
