Currently, the Weather Service is predicting mostly rain in that timeframe for the usual lake effect snow spots south of Lake Ontario, including in Syracuse. Buffalo could see some flakes flying Thursday through Sunday, according to the forecast.
Dry conditions expected through Tuesday afternoon, followed by beneficial rain through the weekend. This will bring relief to the area currently classified as Abnormally Dry on the drought monitor.
