WASHINGTON, N.C. (WNCT) — A tutor in the Learning Enhancement Center at Beaufort County Community College as been awarded the North Carolina Tutoring and Learning Association Professional Tutor of the Year.
Ethan Carrow was presented the award on Oct. 29 when he discussed practical applications of AI in creating learning resources for students.
Carrow has been at the community college for three years and is known for his student-centered approaches.

In the press release, the Director of Learning Enhancement Center, James Casey, said Carrow has proven himself as an invaluable asset to the LEC and to BCCC.
“Not only did Ethan conduct a professional and well-received presentation, he was also selected as the NCTLA Professional Tutor of the Year,” Casey said.
