Hong Kong jails pro-democracy activists over controversial election

Hong Kong’s High Court has sentenced 45 pro-democracy activists to up to 10 years in prison, over a move to challenge Beijing’s influence on Hong Kong elections. The trial has been criticised as political and unfair.
