BBC EastEnders fans ‘work out’ Stacey Slater’s exit in life-saving twist

EastEnders confirmed devastating news for Ruby Allen’s young son on Thursday (November 21) as the two-year-old was suffering from liver failure and remained in hospital.

Earlier this week, Martin Fowler (James Bye) found out the bombshell news that his ex-girlfriend Ruby (Louisa Lytton) had a baby while she was in prison, and he was the boys father.

Ruby wasted no time in returning to Walford to reclaim her sons stolen birth certificate confirming he was born in 2022. However, in the latest trip to Walford, Martin and Ruby were told by a doctor that Roman needs a living liver donor as he has has autoimmune hepatitis, and his liver is failing.

The doctor also confirmed the condition was not caused by Roman accidently drinking a bottle of paracetamol, bur rather something he would have been suffering with beforehand that incident.

Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) lurked in the corridor and watched on as Ruby begged the doctor to be her boys donor despite having different blood groups, which was refused.

Looking visibly upset, Martin vowed to do whatever it takes to get his son well again. However, EastEnders fans think Stacey will be a match for Roman and ultimately the person who will save his life.

Away from the BBC One soap, Lacey Turner will bow out of her role as Stacey in the near future to go on maternity leave, and fans think Roman’s transplant story will spark her temporary exit.

A second added: “Oh you might be going through the liver donor story is it that one #EastEnders.”

While a third exclaimed: “I actually wonder if this could lead into Stacey temporarily leaving for Lacey’s maternity leave.”

“I was thinking this too. Somehow she’ll need to be written out won’t she, quite soon as well”, added another.
