Even the Grinch can be sweet. Here’s when the new Krispy Kreme Grinch-inspired doughnuts drops

The Grinch is stealing more than just Christmas this year. He’s also stealing our attention with colorful, tasty doughnuts with the help of Krispy Kreme’s latest collection.

The doughnut chain announced three new doughnuts based on the Dr. Seuss classic “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” ahead of the Dec. 25 holiday.

The limited-time “Merry Grinchmas Doughnut Collection” will be available on Friday at participating locations and includes:

• The new Grinch doughnut: An unglazed doughnut filled with Cookies & Kreme filling to represent coal and dipped in green icing with a chocolate icing grin and buttercream hair.

• The new Grinchy Claus doughnut: A glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing and topped with white buttercream and “Christmas crispies and Grinch piece.”

• The new Cindy-Lou Who Merry Berry Tree doughnut: A glazed doughnut dipped in strawberry-flavored icing with a green buttercream tree and decorated with festive sprinkles and a star piece.

• The Santa Belly doughnut: An unglazed doughnut filled with white Kreme, dipped in red icing and decorated with a Santa belt and buckle.

• The Holiday Sprinkle doughnut: A glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing with festive sprinkles.

If you’re not ready to turn your attention to Christmas, Krispy Kreme’s Thanksgiving pie-inspired doughnuts are still available now and through the holiday.

Here’s another reason not to be a Grinch. Get a $1 dozen glazed doughnuts when you purchase any dozen doughnuts at Krispy Kreme on Dec. 12 with the return of the doughnut chain’s Day of the Dozens.

Krispy Kreme has 40 locations across California, including in Bakersfield, Chico, Fresno, Irvine, Los Angeles, Rancho Mirage, San Diego, Stockton, and Victorville, according to the doughnut chain.
