A woman who had a water leak for three months but didn’t know it until she received a whopping $600 bill sought help from Grace Ministries in June.

She made arrangements to pay her water bill, but she was not able to keep up with the payments. Her expenses had become more than her income.

She also had to buy a $100 car part. The only way she could make payments on that hefty bill was not pay her other expenses.

With the help of donations from Times Charities, Grace Ministries assisted the woman with $200 for her water bill.

Times Charities, a nonprofit created by the Times Record News over 20 years ago, raises money during the holiday season to address financial woes throughout the calendar year. Times Charities also helps area veterans get back on their feet.

Donations to Times Charities go to the four partners: Faith Mission, Interfaith Outreach Services, The Salvation Army and Grace Ministries in Burkburnett.
