The Community Foundation for Crawford County awarded $324,319 in grants to local organizations.
According to a news release from the foundation, the strategic competitive grants support a variety of charitable initiatives across the region.
The recipients of the competitive grants since March are:

Grace Brethren Church – $3,000 for Gifts of Love Pantry

Crawford County Arts Center – $5,000 for art programs and art therapy; $10,343 for the Art2You program

Bucyrus Little Theatre – $30,000 for roof replacement

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio, Inc. – $5,000 for lodging for families facing life-threatening illnesses

The Salvation Army – $30,000 for renovation of the new Maplecrest facility

North Central State College Foundation – $45,760 for staffing an additional part-time clinical instructor

Wildlife Haven – $5,000 for animal food expenses and stipends for interns

American Red Cross of East Central Ohio – $17,016 for six blood drives in Crawford County

Galion History Center – $9,500 for window replacement and door addition to the Hayden-Helfrich Annex Museum

#CrawfordForGood – $7,000 for a matching pool benefiting Crawford County non-profits

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Marion and Crawford Counties – $6,000 for a youth council initiative

LifeCare Alliance – $5,000 for sponsorships for children with diabetes attending educational camp

AxessPointe Community Health Centers – $5,000 for senior volunteer recruitment and recognition

Project Noelle – $5,000 for support groups and holiday events for children affected by addiction

Bucyrus Public Library – $33,200 for expansion of the LEVEL UP program

#Giving2sday – $25,000 for funds awarded during the Foundation’s annual fundraiser
A special recognition grant totaling $2,500 was awarded to the Crawford County Arts Center for security and chairs for its new location’s grand opening.

The first competitive grant cycle deadline for 2025 is Dec. 31 with grants to be awarded in the spring.
