LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Las Vegas Metro police searched for a suspect accused of stealing a car and then fleeing from officers.
It happened on Friday shortly after 7 p.m. when officers found the reported stolen car in the area of Owens Avenue and H Street.
Police told 8 News Now that when they attempted to stop the car in an unmarked police unit they did not stop. One occupant in the car then fired shots into the air from inside the car. Officers in a marked police unit then arrived and pursued the car until both occupants got out of the car and ran from them.

Police said they were later able to detain one person, another person is still on the run.
