A person was killed in a traffic collision along Highway 18 in Apple Valley late Monday, officials said.
The crash was first reported just after 8 p.m. at Highway 18 and Quinnault Road, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department dispatch logs.
Apple Valley Fire Protection District officials confirmed at least one person was killed in the collision.
#AVFPD units are on scene of a major traffic accident on Highway 18 and Quinnault Road. Westbound will be closed for several hours due to a fatality.

Westbound traffic was expected to remain closed for several hours, officials added.
