An arctic air mass remains in place across the Ohio Valley region, bringing more cold temperatures and snow accumulations by the end of the week.
According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, mostly cloudy skies and occasional snow flurries are expected on Wednesday. Accumulations up to a few tenths of an inch could be possible.
Daytime temperatures will remain well below normal, with highs in the lower to middle 20s. Wind chill values are expected to be near or below zero Wednesday night into Thursday morning, per a hazardous weather outlook.

Many locations may experience air temperatures near or below zero degrees, meaning even a light surface wind could make it feel like it’s between -5 to -10 degrees at times. This may warrant the NWS to issue a Cold Weather Advisory, especially for southern counties.
Snow is forecast to return Friday into Friday night. Snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches will be possible. With temperatures remaining below freezing, untreated surfaces will become slick. The snow will affect the afternoon and evening commutes.
Friday’s temperatures will remain below normal, with highs in the mid to upper 20s. Mainly dry conditions are in store for Saturday and Sunday. Highs will stay in the mid to upper 20s on Saturday and the upper 20s to lower 30s on Sunday,
A chance of snow will occur Sunday night into Monday.

What level snow emergency are we on?
Several Greater Cincinnati counties remain under level 1 snow emergencies Wednesday morning including Hamilton and Clermont counties in Ohio and Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties in Northern Kentucky.

A level 1 snow emergency means roadways are hazardous with blowing and/or drifting snow and may be icy.
