The “heartbroken” family of a woman who has been found dead days after disappearing are demanding answers.
Lacey Lake, 24, was reported missing to police on Monday after she was believed to have last been seen in a taxi on Friday evening before her location services were later turned off.
Devon and Cornwall Police has now confirmed they found a body in Tamerton Foliot on Tuesday in their search for the missing 24-year-old.
Ms Lake’s aunt Sara French posted a moving tribute to her niece on social media on Wednesday, affectionately referring to her as “our mini” and saying she “was loved beyond words”.

Ms French wrote: “It is with a broken heart I need to inform my friends and family Lacey Lake has sadly passed away and her body was found yesterday.
“Thank you to everyone for the kind words, and I know this is a shock to everyone – but can people please respect our family right now, as we have a lot of question and we are all heartbroken and our privacy needs to be respected and we need to get her back home.
“Lacey, you was loved beyond words, and I don’t no how we are ever going to get past this. I just hope you’re at peace with your mum. Love you always our mini xxxx.”
Officers were called at around 1.20pm following concerns for the welfare of a woman in Linton Close. Paramedics attended but the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Although formal identification is yet to be carried out, police said Ms Lake’s family have been informed.

The force said the death is being treated as unexplained but is not currently believed to be suspicious.
In a desperate appeal issued when Ms Lake was still missing, Morgan Hennessy Kelly said: “She has been missing since Friday evening/early morning Saturday and was last seen in a grey Mercedes taxi leaving stonehouse around 6/6:45pm, but unfortunately never returned home.
“Since then her phone has been on but no contact was made. Unfortunately her location services were turned off this evening. She could be anywhere in Plymouth. Her phone was also turned off around 7pm.”
In another pleading appeal, Ms Lake’s close friend Jay Harris said the 24-year-old had type 1 diabetes but did not have insulin with her at the time of her disappearance.
In a moving tribute later posted on Facebook, Ms Harris described Ms Lake as “the moon”. She said: “She’s the biggest and brightest thing you can see in the darkness. Even in her own darkness she shines.

“She loves deeply, cares immensely, and protects with her whole being. I just wish we could of protected you.
“You will always be such a big part of my life – laughs, the cries and especially the highs, you’re one of a kind and always will be. Forever be something so great to this world.
“You’re more than a friend or a best friend, you’re family – day or night you’d be there.”
