Lubbock police this week are asking the public for help identifying people in connection to two separate aggravated robberies at local businesses.
According to LPD, the first armed robbery was on Dec. 9, 2024, when officers responded around 4:56 a.m. to a report of an aggravated robbery at a business in the 2100 block of 50th Street at 4:56 a.m.
Investigators believe a Black male wearing a black jacket and black hoodie entered the business, displayed a firearm and demanded money before fleeing on foot.

The second instance was on Jan. 12, 2024 when officers responded at 11:05 p.m. to a report of an aggravated robbery at a business in the 3400 block of 98th Street. Through the initial course of the investigation, it appears that a Black male wearing a black jacket and black hoodie entered the business and displayed a firearm.

According to LPD, the person stole cash, cigarettes and other items before fleeing on foot.
The person is described as a Black male between 40 and 50 years old, about 6 feet in height, weighing 190 to 200 pounds with a distinctive walk. The robber wore the same black jacket and black hoodie during both robberies.

LPD asks anyone with information about this case to call Detective Steve Thurman at 806-775-2782 orCrime Line at 806-741-1000. Callers could be eligible for a reward and can remain anonymous.
