Paul Danan’s ex-girlfriend Lady Isabella Hervey has paid tribute to the Hollyoaks star after his death aged 46.
Danan was found dead at a home in Bristol on Wednesday just hours before he was due to appear in court on drug charges.
Hervey – who had an on-off relationship with Danan in 2005 during their stint on Celebrity Love Island – commemorated her ex on Instagram on Thursday.
She talked about his “pain” and said he “covered it well” in a heartbreaking statement shared alongside photos of them together on the show.
“Pauly… I don’t know what to tell you as I’m still in utter shock you’re gone,” the 42-year-old socialite wrote.

“You were the kindest/ biggest hearted person/ so thoughtful/ always making me laugh when I was going through tough times over these two years.”
She went on: “In fact you worried a lot about me and meanwhile you were in pain. I wish I had known as you covered it well. You bought out the best in me on Love Island who I truly am.
“You promised to visit me but now your gone. I will hold on to the good times and your incredible sense of humour.
The model concluded: “You never failed to make me laugh so hard I’d cry. Rest well and I cannot comprehend this is the end. I do not want to. Bella.”
Danan and Hervey had a turbulent romance on Celebrity Love Island, with the actor trying to woo her for two weeks.
They endured an awkward love triangle with Playboy model Nikki Ziering in the villa and ended things as friends.

It has emerged that Danan was due to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Thursday facing two drug charges.
