ITV Good Morning Britain fans all say same thing about unexpected presenter

Good Morning Britain saw a shake-up of its presenters on Thursday (January 23) morning, which has left viewers shocked.

Richard Madeley appeared alongside show regular Susanna Reid, who usually presents the ITV morning news programme between Monday and Wednesday.

Fans quickly took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their surprise at Susanna’s presence, with one writing: “Erm Susanna do you realise its a Thursday right?”

“Susanna Reid 4 mornings in a row,” another added, while a third said: “WTF! Susanna Reid working FOUR days!?!?! My bacon sandwich has just took off!!”

Susanna began her career as a news producer at BBC Radio Bristol, before joining BBC News 24 as a reporter.

She was one of the main presenters of BBC Breakfast, hosting with Bill Turnbull on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Following appearances on Sunday Morning Live and The Andrew Marr Show, Susanna was confirmed to front ITV’s rival breakfast programme Good Morning Britain in 2014.

While appearing on the show earlier this week, Susanna offered viewers a rare glimpse into her home life, while discussing a UK college’s decision to hire tutors to assist students with making phone calls.

“Everything is online! People tend to email, text or WhatsApp. They don’t speak to each other on the phone,” Susanna explained.

Commentator Andrew Pierce chimed in, commenting: “They don’t speak to each other at all! You hear stories about children in the same household texting each other in the same house! The world has gone mad.”

Susanna then confessed: “I’m afraid I’m guilty of that!” before revealing that she texts her own children from inside her house to announce that dinner is ready.
