Two Middle Tennessee school districts and one private school have announced closures ranging from one day to the rest of the week due to widespread illness.
Houston County Schools announced on social media Tuesday it was closing for the remainder of the week starting Wednesday.
Lebanon Special School District announced it would close Wednesday because absences are impacting its ability to maintain normal school operations.

“In an effort to break the cycle of illness and prevent further spread, we will close for three days, beginning tomorrow, Feb. 5,” the district said in a release to parents.

Houston County: Closed from Wednesday through Friday.
