Philadelphia Eagles fans celebrate Super Bowl victory in Pittsburgh

A crowd of Philadelphia Eagles fans rushed to the streets of Pittsburgh to celebrate a Super Bowl Victory against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The University of Pittsburgh sent an alert at 10:28 p.m. saying the people had gathered at the 3700 block of Forbes Avenue.

Former Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto shared a photo of the area showing Philadelphia Eagles fans celebrating. This comes after the Eagles dominated the Chiefs for a Super Bowl victory 40-22.

He reminded encouraged the fans to enjoy their fun but to be sure to follow the law.

At 10:32 p.m. Pittsburgh Police shut Forbes Avenue down at Atwood Street.

The crowd moved down Forbes Avenue to Bigelow Boulevard at 10:41 p.m. In response, police closed Bigelow Blvd was closed between Forbes Avenue and Fifth Avenue.

South Bouquet Street was closed at 11:04 p.m. between Forbes Avenue and Fifth Avenue.

Pitt Police said Forbes Avenue reopened at 11:24 p.m.
