Man charged with first-degree murder in deaths of three people at Fayetteville home

Fayetteville police have arrested a man in the Friday morning stabbing deaths of three people in a home off Clinton Road.

Mackendy Darbouze, 26, was detained at the scene of the killing of two juveniles and a woman, who police have identified as Beatrice Desir, 77, according to a news release. The juveniles were not identified.

Darbouze was charged with three counts of first-degree murder and is being held without bail in the Cumberland County Detention Center, the release said.

Police Chief Kemberle Braden said in a press conference Friday afternoon that multiple victims were found suffering from fatal stab wounds around 9 a.m. Friday in the 200 block of Bellarthur Lane in the Cape Fear Crossings Subdivision. Braden said that a resident of the home called 911 from the scene. Braden said an adult man, now identified as Darbouze, and the victims were known to each other and all lived at the home.

Police did not mention the conditions of the witnesses to the homicides.
