Four deputies were taken to a local hospital following a multi-vehicle crash in Spanaway Saturday afternoon.
The roadway at the 15600 block of Pacific Avenue is being cleared up following the wreck. Several vehicles were involved, including the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, according to Central Pierce Fire & Rescue on X at 12:24 p.m.
The deputies who were in the crash are being evaluated for injuries, according to the X post. The circumstances that led to the crash remain unclear.

Pacific Avenue has been shut down as the Sheriff’s Office conducts its investigation. Washington State Patrol troopers are on scene as well to help with traffic control.
