When Babar Azam was nominated for the award at the end of the match, he requested the management give his prize to Khushdil Shah. Pakistan completed the 306-run target set by West Indies for the loss of 5 wickets in the last over. Captain Babar Azam played an innings of 103 runs. In the final overs of the match, aggressive batsman Khushdil showed aggressive batting and led the team to victory in the last over. He played an unbeaten inning of 41 off 23 balls with 4 sixes.
