You could be longing for an outdoor escape or the thrill of a trendy club. Whatever it may be, Kentucky offers a long list of vacation rentals that can serve as home base for about any adventure.

When it comes to the absolute favorite, however, a recent report from Airbnb revealed the most popular listing on the platform for each state.

In Kentucky that turns out to be a treehouse perched in the canopy of the Daniel Boone National Forest located just steps away from prime hiking in the Red River Gorge Geological Area. Here’s what to know about The Lions Lair, which is the most wish-listed Airbnb stay in Kentucky.

The Lions Lair is located in Stanton, which is about 45 miles southeast of Lexington in Powell County. For those longing to escape the daily grind, this Airbnb offers an unparalleled connection to nature.

“Escape to the treetops in our custom-made treehouse, nestled amid towering trees in the national forest. Enjoy the balcony while listening to sounds of the forest. Stargaze on the top deck or swing on the bottom deck, and gather around the fire pit to fellowship and make s’mores,” the Airbnb listing reads.

The Lions Lair features an excellent observation deck for taking in the calming sights, sounds and smells of the forest. There’s a barbecue grill and a fire pit for campfire gatherings. You can browse books or enjoy board games available in the cabin. To be clear, this isn’t a resort, but you won’t truly be roughing it either. You shouldn’t expect wi-fi, but there are modern kitchen appliances, air conditioning, heating and parking included.

Really though, if you do end up staying at The Lions Lair, you should probably spend as little time indoors as possible. The trailhead for Martin’s Fork, which offers overlooks and great views of the area, is just a few steps away.

In total, the treehouse can accommodate four guests with a double mattress in the loft and a queen size air mattress in the main area.
