Aaron Judge Hit in the Head by Anthony Volpe Throw During Yankees-Mets Game

Aaron Judge was hit in the head coming off the field at the end of the fourth inning with a ball thrown by teammate Anthony Volpe during the New York Yankees‘ game against the New York Mets at Citi Field on Saturday afternoon.

The ball broke Judge’s sunglasses and left him bleeding, per the New York Post. He was later spotted with a bandage near his right eye but remained in the game.

Judge, the favorite for American League MVP and lead vote-getter in the AL for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game, returned to the field for the bottom of the fifth inning.

The Yankees have lost five straight games entering Saturday.
