PUTNAM, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A fatal crash occurred on Saturday, October 12, at 3:20 p.m. in Callahan County, 2.2 miles west of Putnam, Texas, on Interstate 20.
According to a police report from Texas DPS, the driver veered to the left for an unknown reason, crossing over the rumble strip. The driver then overcorrected back towards the right, causing the vehicle to skid across both westbound lanes and off the north side of the roadway. As a result, vehicle 1 overturned and struck a tree with the top of the car.
The driver was then escorted to Hendrick Medical Center North and pronounced dead on October 12 at 4:27 p.m.
