Acadiana Waste Services trash collection to resume Friday in Lafayette, schedule adjusted

Lafayette Consolidated Government and Acadiana Waste Services announced that AWS will resume curbside residential trash collection Friday, Jan. 24.

All other curbside services (recycling, yard waste etc.) are suspended to prioritize the removal of residential trash utilizing all available trucks, staff and equipment, according to LCG.

When to expect to have trashed picked up

  • Tuesday and Wednesday trash routes will be collected Friday, Jan. 24.

  • Thursday and Friday trash routes will be collected Saturday, Jan. 25.

All curbside collections will resume normal operations beginning Monday, Jan. 27.
