Defaulter of Rs 85 million Aima Baig bank account freezes by FBR
Over non-payment of taxes, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) froze the bank accounts of the Pakistani singer Aima Baig on 19 January 2022. FBR tries to recover the money from the singer’s bank accounts but Aima had already withdrawn all the money from her bank accounts. Aima was served a notice by the FBR on January 14 this year.
As per the information, Baig had withdrawn Rs 25 million from her accounts and emptied them before FBR froze. The FBR is now seizing her vehicles, as per the reports Baig is a defaulter of Rs 85 million in income taxes and she has not paid her taxes from 2018 to 2020.
