Ami Jack joins Saffery as partner and head of national tax

Accounting and advisory firm Saffery has appointed Ami Jack as a partner and the head of its National Tax team.

Jack has more than two decades of experience in tax advisory, with a background spanning corporate taxation and financial services.

In her new role, she will lead on tax knowledge development, risk oversight, and policy engagement.

Jack’s previous role was at S&W, formerly Evelyn Partners and before that Smith & Williamson, where she was the head of National Tax.

Prior to that, she gained experience at a “Big Four” firm. Her career covers a range of specialist areas in both corporate and personal taxation.

She has advised on venture capital structures, investment vehicles, and matters of succession and inheritance. Her wide-ranging expertise supports a blend of institutional and individual client needs.

At Saffery, Jack will work with 25 partners and 400 employees.

Under Sean McGinness’s leadership, Saffery’s National Tax team supports client service through up-to-date insights on tax policy, legislation, and risks, including automation and digitalisation.

McGinness said: “Ami is the perfect person to equip our market-leading team of tax professionals with the most up-to-date insights into the evolving UK tax landscape.

“She also brings extensive experience in risk management for tax and will be an asset to the firm. We are thrilled to welcome her to the team.”

Jack said: “I’m very pleased to be joining Saffery. The firm has an impressive and diverse client base and is highly regarded for the quality of its tax advice.

“I look forward to working with my new colleagues, helping to share the team’s exceptional knowledge and insights of the tax landscape to ensure the highest quality service and best outcomes for clients.”

In November 2024, Saffery named Nigel Burke as the chairman for a four-year term, taking over from James Sykes.

“Ami Jack joins Saffery as partner and head of national tax” was originally created and published by International Accounting Bulletin, a GlobalData owned brand.
