Area roads covered in snow, ice, troopers report; some roads impassable

Jan. 10—Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency are reporting roads covered with ice and snow across north Alabama:

Limestone County — All roads are covered with snow.

Lawrence County — All roads are covered with snow and ice and are impassable at this time.

Morgan County — All roads are covered with snow.

Cullman County — All roads are covered with snow. U.S. 278 at Duck Road is impassable due to icy road conditions.

Blount County — All roads are covered with snow and ice.

Madison County — All roads are covered with snow. No traffic issues at this time.

Jackson County — All roads are covered with snow. Alabama 71, Alabama 73 and Alabama 117 are becoming impassable.

Marshall County — All roads are covered in snow. No traffic issues at this time.

Etowah County — All roads are covered in snow and are becoming impassable. There are several reports of traffic crashes on Interstate 59 between the 185 mile marker and the 190 mile marker.

Dekalb County — All roads are covered in snow and are becoming impassable.

Cherokee County — All roads are covered in snow and are becoming impassable.

Colbert County — All roads are covered with snow and ice and are impassable at this time.

Franklin County — All roads are covered with snow and ice and are impassable at this time.

Lauderdale County — All roads are covered with snow and ice and are impassable at this time.

Fayette County — All roads are covered with snow and ice and are impassable at this time.

Lamar County — All roads are covered with snow and ice and are impassable at this time.

Marion County — All roads are covered with snow and ice and are impassable at this time.

Walker County — All roads are covered with snow and ice and are impassable at this time.

Winston County — All roads are covered with snow and ice and are impassable at this time.
