A bicyclist who sustained fatal injuries when he was struck by a vehicle Thursday evening in Aberdeen has been identified.
Preliminary crash information indicates Brandon E. Smith, the driver of a 2005 Ford F-150, was traveling westbound on Second Avenue Northeast near North Lincoln Street in Aberdeen when he struck a bicyclist on the shoulder of the road, police reports state.
The cyclist, Roger Martin Genung, 65, of Aberdeen, died from his injuries, the reports state. Smith, according to the reports, was uninjured.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
