WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WETM) — Authorities released the names of the two people who were killed during a car crash in Watkins Glen over the weekend.
According to the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office, 55-year-old Manjula Velikanti and 61-year-old Prasad Velikanti, both of India, were killed after the vehicle they were passengers in was hit by another car at the intersection of county Road 16 and county Road 17 in Watkins Glen shortly before 11 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13.

The 30-year-old driver of the vehicle was not injured and was issued a summons for failing to yield the right of way.
The driver and passenger of the other vehicle involved were not injured during the crash.
