ASHLAND — A local couple accused of voting illegally in New Hampshire several times in 2020 and 2022 are currently registered to vote in Massachusetts, although they were not at the time in question, according to records at the Ashland Town Clerk’s Office.
According to the records, Joshua Urovitch, 56, and his wife Lisa Urovitch, 54, did not register to vote in Massachusetts until last year and have voted in town elections since then.
Last week, the New Hampshire Department of Justice announced that a Merrimack County Grand Jury had indicted Joshua and Lisa Urovitch on three counts each of wrongful voting.
According to a press release from the office of New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella, the Urovitches voted in the Nov. 3, 2020, general election in Concord, New Hampshire, as well as in the Nov. 8, 2022, general election and the Concord (N.H.) School District election on the same day. The couple live in Massachusetts, according to the release.
