Ballot recounts are scheduled Tuesday for two close Ramsey County races.
The races for Arden Hills City Council and District 7 county commissioner both qualified for a publicly funded recount and were requested by candidates, according to the county.
In the District 7 race, Kelly Miller leads Sarah K. Yang by 28 votes.
In Arden Hills, where the top two vote-getters are heading to the city council, Brenda J. Holden won a seat with 2,561 votes. The recount will be between Kurt Weber, who has 2,045 votes, and David Radziej, with 2,040.

Under state law, a candidate for a county, municipal, or school district office may request a publicly-funded recount if they lost by less than 0.5% of the total votes if there are more than 400 but fewer than 50,000 votes cast for that office.
The recount for the county board race is estimated to cost $5,000 to $7,000, county spokesperson Casper Hill said earlier this month.
The recounts are open to the public and begin at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at 90 W. Plato Blvd in St. Paul. The recounts will take place concurrently, and results and any challenged ballots are presented to their respective canvassing boards. The candidate who requested a recount or their representative may present the basis for the recount. The board then rules on challenged ballots, which is included in the canvassing report, and certifies the results of the recount.
