The fire later spread to the yard around the barn, threatened a nearby residence, and burned about two acres of sagebrush, according to the release.

“The barn contained several vehicles, and fortunately, no injuries were reported,” the sheriff’s office said.

First responders from seven different agencies — including Brian Head Fire, Color County Fire, Paragonah Fire, Parowan Fire, Gold Cross Ambulance, Rocky Mountain Power, and the Iron County Sheriff’s Office — responded to the scene to fight the fire.

Officials said the fire was extinguished and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

“The Iron County Sheriff’s Office would like to extend their gratitude to all the first responders who were involved in managing this incident and ensuring the safety of the community,” the press release said.
