Strictly Come Dancing fans have said Jowita Przystal’s comments about Pete Wicks were ‘valid’ as they were ‘uncovered’. The pair got fans of the dance contest talking over the weekend with their latest performance.
There were incredible scenes in Blackpool’s Tower Ballroom as week nine of the BBC One dance contest was broadcast from the world-famous venue for one weekend only, as per its annual special.
They were among the eight couples remaining in the competition to perform on Saturday night (November 16) and depending on who you ask, they didn’t disappoint as while Craig Revel Horwood handed them a score of four, Shirley Ballas became flustered as she called the dance ‘”very entertaining”.
Pete and Jowtia were seen dancing a cha cha to I’m Too Sexy by Right Said Fred but it was Pete’s outfit that caused a stir as the former TOWIE star pretended to be a train inspector before tearing off his jacket to reveal a pink shirt and tight PVC pink trousers.
He then finished the routine wearing a pink fluffy jacket, which remained throughout the rest of the show and the results programme on Sunday evening (November 17), along with a pink hat bedazzled with his name.
It was then on Sunday night (November 17) during the latest results show that Pete and Jowita were confirmed to have made it through to week ten of Strictly’s 20th-anniversary series with the news leaving them visibly shocked.
They’ve since headed back into training and it’s been confirmed they’re returning to ballroom with a Tango to Easy Lover by Philip Bailey, Phil Collins. But ahead of their new routine, Strictly has shared a reminder of what happened in the ballroom over the weekend via the hidden mics the contestants and their professional dance partners are wearing.
The caption of the clip posted to Strictly’s Instagram page said: “It’s safe to say the energy was high on Saturday night! Volume up. Here’s everything you didn’t hear from the Blackpool Ballroom! #Strictly,” and in it, Jowita was heard getting into character as she said to one of her fellow dancers: “OMG, he’s so hot!” referring to Pete.
And fans couldn’t help but agree. @janetsnakeholemacklin said: “I didn’t think I’d ever hear Jowita screaming, ‘Oh my god HES SO HOT!’ like that. Accurate depiction of a lot of us honestly.” @sianndaviess_xx laughed: “Jowita’s reaction. Valid!” @rachw77 added: “Hahah Jowita.”
