Booneville man arrested for allegedly shooting into a home

TUPELO – A Booneville man was arrested over the weekend following reports of shots fired in a Prentiss County neighborhood.

Deputies with the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department arrested Jason Keith Hall, 45, of Boonville on Friday and charged him with two felonies: shooting into a dwelling and aggravated assault.

Officers reported a complaint of shooting at a residence on County Road 7090 on Aug. 23, 2024. Several adults and children were reported to be at the residence at the time of the shooting.

Alongside the felony arrest, the department also charged Hall with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct for allegedly failing to comply with officers.

Hall’s bond was set by Justice Court Judge Ray Hall at $153,000. Investigator Torie Jumper will present the case to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury.
