A man has been charged with murder following the deaths of two men whose remains were found in suitcases in Bristol last week.
Yostin Andres Mosquera, 34, was arrested in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The two victims have now been named as 62-year-old Albert Alfonso and 71-year-old Paul Longworth.
The pair were in a relationship and lived together at a flat in Shepherdâs Bush, west London.
They were known to the suspect, who had been staying with them in Scotts Road for a short period of time, the Met said.
Both victims were known to Mosquera and he had been staying with them at the Scotts Road flat for a short period of time.
Mosquera has been charged with two counts of murder and will appear in custody today at Wimbledon Magistratesâ Court.
Metropolitan Police said they have initially categorised the murders as a hate crime but that evidence so far does not suggest there was a homophobic motive.
Deputy Assistant Commissioner Andy Valentine said: âMy thoughts are first and foremost with Albert and Paulâs loved ones who are coming to terms with this terrible news.
âWhile we do not believe either of them had any close family, we have identified other next of kin who have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. We are continuing to try and identify any extended family members.
âI know that this awful incident will cause concern not just among residents in Shepherds Bush but in the wider LGBTQ+ community across London. I hope it will be of some reassurance that whilst enquiries are still ongoing and the investigation is at a relatively early stage, we are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with the two murders.â
