Canadiens Provided Light Fun This Weekend

If there’s one good news about the colder weather being back it’s that it’s starting to smell like hockey season. Every year, in September, NHLers flow back to their team’s city and Montreal is no exception.

This weekend, newly acquired forward Patrik Laine arrived in town and he made sure his arrival didn’t go unnoticed. Just like he made the headlines with his fashion sense at the start of the 2021 season, he caught the eye of many.

There was no purple in sight when he tried on the Sainte-Flanelle for the first time, but with trainers that can only be described as “Grinch green” and flowery black and white pants, he was all over social media.

Meanwhile, in Russia, Ivan Demidov showed off his moves, no do not get excited, they weren’t moves on the ice, but dancing moves. There’s no doubt that the Canadiens’ latest first pick is oozing with talent when he’s playing hockey, but not so much when he’s dancing…

It’s all fun and games right now, but Demidov will be getting down to business very soon as SKA St. Petersburgh first game of the new KHL season is on Thursday. As for Laine, he’s got 20 days left before the Canadiens hit the ice for their first preseason game, but knowing the big Finn, he might still turn up wearing interesting outfits…
