The creators of the popular drama Casualty have issued a crucial last-minute reminder to fans about the upcoming episode, scheduled for Saturday, August 3.

The post reveals that the episode will be broadcast on BBC Two at 8.10pm as BBC One alters its usual Saturday night programming to accommodate coverage of the Olympics in Paris.

Numerous fans expressed their anticipation for the show, with many simply commenting “Can’t wait!” The overall summary for season 38, as reported by the Radio Times, states: “During the season, Teddy seeks advice from Gethin, Max plays a dangerous game as Donna’s sentencing looms, and Jodie goes in search of Max’s kidney donor as his health deteriorates.”

Casualty first aired in 1986 and has become a fixture of Saturday night television, leading to the creation of the spin-off, Holby City, in 1999, reports the Mirror.

Primarily filmed in and around Wales, it focuses on the lives of the staff and patients at the fictional Holby City Hospital’s emergency department. Over the years, many prominent names have featured in the soap, and among the current cast members is Barney Walsh, who portrays Nurse Cameron Mickelthwaite.

In forthcoming episodes, the BBC One soap will delve into the traumatic past of Nurse Cameron, revealing and examining the sexual abuse he endured as a teenager.
