More than $17 million in funding will bring more electric vehicle fast-charging ports to 29 more locations in Colorado.
The funding, announced Dec. 27, will go toward an additional 168 ports across the state, according to a joint news release from Colorado’s Energy Office and Department of Transportation.
The list of projects shows all ports will have an output of 150 kilowatts or more.

The money for these ports come from the Direct-Current Fast-Charging Plazas Program, which is funded by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the state money.

This map shows the locations of public DC Fast Charge ports in the state of Colorado. But some of the fast-charge locations are below 150 kilowatts.
Where are the fast-charging stations in Fort Collins?
Here are the DC Fast ports available now, according to a map provided by the U.S. Department of Energy. They range from 50-kilowatt ports up to 350 kilowatts. There are only four locations that offer the fastest-charging ports, at 150 kilowatts or more, none of which are in Fort Collins.

Twelve 250-kilowatt ports by Tesla are in progress in Fort Collins at Front Range Village, 2720 Council Tree Ave., according to the state’s map of DC Fast Charge sites. That funding was announced in 2023.
