Coronation Street confirms chaos for Chesney after tragic death plot

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street has got a chaotic week in store for Chesney Brown in upcoming episodes.

In scenes set to air on Monday, October 21 and Wednesday, October 23, Gemma returns to work at The Rovers but struggles to cope following her brother Paul Foreman’s death. Kit Green tells her she’s come back too quickly and offers the use of a friend’s cottage in the Lake District, which she takes him up on.

Dev Alahan orders Chesney to do a deep clean of the kebab shop by Friday, while he also has to take Joseph to the airport for his school skiing trip.

After finishing up at the Prima Doner, Chesney discovers a whole load of missed messages, telling him that the flight has been brought forward. Will he be able to make it in time?

Meanwhile, Kirk Sutherland mans the kebab shop in Chesney’s absence. He cheerfully greets a customer, unaware that it’s a health inspector.

How will the inspection go, and will Chesney get in trouble for abandoning the shop at such an important time?

It’s important to note that next week won’t have any episodes of Corrie or Emmerdale on the Friday (October 25), due to ITV1 airing a live football game, as England’s Lionesses take on Germany in a friendly at Wembley.

But don’t worry, there will be an hour of Corrie airing on the Sunday (October 29) from 8pm to make up for it.

And, of course, episodes are now dropping on 7am on streaming service ITVX on the day of broadcast, so you can more easily fit your soap fix into your daily schedule.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
