Coronation Street star Vicky Myers has declared her love for her co-star after spending a ‘gorgeous’ festive day together. The actress is currently at the forefront of the ITV soap as DS Lisa Swain.
It was earlier this year that Vicky announced she’d been signed up as a regular on the cobbles and writers wasted no time in putting her in the thick of the action, most recently as part of the Joel Deering whodunnit saga, in which she was a suspect, before the dramatic storyline came to an end last week.
But that’s not all that has got Corrie fans’ tongues wagging as Swain has also struck up a close friendship with Carla Connor that is now spiralling into a romance which they have been championing from the get go.

However, away from her busy time on the cobbles, Vicky has been seen getting in the festive sprit alongside Weatherfield co-star Sally Carman-Duttine, who plays Abi Webster, and their fellow actress pal Erin Shanagher.
The trio couldn’t have looked any happier as they spent time together over the weekend, as seen in a string of snaps shared by Sally on Instagram. In the first set of photos, Vicky, Sally and Erin could be seen laughing as they sported cosy Christmas pyjamas and onesies with novelty sunglasses.
They were later seen wrapping up warm before jumping on the Polar Express Train Ride, which has arrived on the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway with the magic of the 2004 motion picture.
Captioning the joyful photos, Sally wrote on Instagram: “My heart could BURST #memoriesmade #polarexpress #christmas #bestfriends #bestfamily #wholesome #soulfood #restoration #weekendaway #grateful #grateful #grateful.”
Vicky was quick to respond to the post, writing: “Love you,” before their Corrie co-stars shared their messages. Toyah Habeeb actress Georgia Taylor said: “You 3 are too cute!!” Sally Dynevor, who plays Sally Metcalfe, replied: “Gorgeous Christmas girlies.” George Shuttlerworth star Tony Maudsley posted: “My Christmas heart has been well and truly tickled!!!” while Sue Devaney, who plays Debbie Webster, added: “3 Christmas beauties right there! Love love love.”
And their fans and followers were loving the update too. @swaineyvsp said: “This is more gorgeous then Christmas itself.” @kerrifranklin86 commented: “These are the most adorable photos I’ve ever seen. I’m going on a festive afternoon tea steam train ride soon and this has made me even more excited.”
