Coronation Street’s Max Turner actor told to ‘pack it in’ by co-star over transformation

Coronation Street’s Max Turner actor told to ‘pack it in’ by co-star over transformation

Coronation Street star Paddy Bever has been flooded with comments after undergoing a mini transformation. The actor was seen getting in the Halloween spirit this week by dressing up.

But he went for saintly rather than scary as Paddy, who is known for playing Max Turner in the ITV soap, was seen channelling his inner cupid in a white outfit with matching feathered wings and gold leaf headband.

The soap star gave his best blue steel towards the camera as he posed with his hands in his pockets before captioning the post on Instagram simply as: “Cupid.”

His Corrie co-stars were quick to respond with on-screen girlfriend Cait Fitton, who plays Lauren Bolton in the show, gushed: “Hawtieeee,” while Craig Tinker actor Colson Smith joked: “Scary.”

It was Sally Carman-Duttine, who is known for playing Weatherfield’s Abi Webster, who responded by writing: “Pack it in,” alongside a string of crying face emojis and yellow love heart icons while Amy Barlow actress Elle Mulvaney simply responded with a string of love heart eyes emojis.

And Paddy’s fans and followers were loving the look too. @si_co_121 said: “Gorgeous.” @procter_steven commented: “Very cute @paddybever.” @lucyandtinax wrote: “Hello ?? you look incredibleeeee !!!!” @andybenifan replied: “Gorgeous Paddy!”

It comes after Paddy opened up earlier this year about the impending change to his on-screen family. Corrie fans are aware that Helen Worth will be bowing out of the soap by the end of the year after playing Gail Platt for 50 years.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News on the red carpet at the RadioTimes.com Soap Awards in July, Paddy spoke about Helen and her upcoming exit for the first time.

He told us: “I think Helen is the kindest soul. I think, genuinely, she has a radical kindness about her and she’s one of the loveliest people I have ever met and always makes me feel really calm and safe. [I’m] gutted to be losing Helen but at the same time, I’m so pleased for her that she’s accomplished so much. So yeah, it’s bittersweet.”

At the time, Paddy was also quizzed at the event by The Sun who asked whether Helen will be allowed to stay in the ‘Platt Chat’ that was previously been revealed to have been sent up by the actors in the fictional family. “Never. She will never leave Platt Chat,” he said. He added: “Platt Chat is something that you enter for life, it’s not something to be undertaken lightly.”
