Coroner identifies pedestrian killed after being struck twice in Hilltop hit-and-run crash

The Franklin County Coroner released the identity of a man struck and killed by two vehicles in the Hilltop, one of which police said fled the scene.

Christopher Kuehl, 45, died at 5:31 p.m. Saturday at the scene of the crash at the intersection of Sullivant Avenue and Atlanta Drive.

Police said Kuehl was crossing Sullivant Avenue between Atlanta Drive and Dixie Court when a Honda Pilot headed east on Sullivant Avenue struck him in the left lane.

Another vehicle, identified by police as a Jeep Cherokee, struck Kuel a second time after he fell into the right lane of Sullivant Avenue. Police said the Jeep remained at the scene while the driver of the Honda Pilot fled east.

The Columbus Division of Police Accident Investigation Unit is investigating the crash, and is seeking a bluish Honda Pilot with damage to its right front. Police have not publicly identified any suspects
