Corps Commander Karachi Attends MoU Signing at DHA Karachi Innovista and Indus IT Feast

A signing ceremony was held at DHA Karachi Innovista and Indus IT Feast to sign various MoUs. The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar, and other notable guests.

The participants praised this state-of-the-art project in the IT sector for providing development and employment opportunities in Pakistan. Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, addressing the ceremony, said that the revival of the IT sector in coordination with the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has been recognized as a key pillar of national development.

Active cooperation is continuing with the Ministry of IT and Telecom and relevant stakeholders to enhance the role of IT in socio-economic development, Chief Minister Sindh. It is our responsibility to provide these opportunities to our youth so that the country can progress day and night in this field, Chief Minister Sindh.

Addressing the ceremony, Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar said: The army is actively cooperating with the Ministry of IT and Telecom and relevant stakeholders to enhance the role of IT in promoting socio-economic development. The Army’s IT vision is reflected in DHA Karachi’s strategic initiatives, Corps Commander Karachi. I commend the DHA team for its determination to complete this important project in a challenging manner in the shortest possible time, Corps Commander Karachi.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the DHA Administrator told the participants that: This IT Park will offer various facilities including offices for IT companies, workplaces, facilities for startups/freelancers and incubation centers etc. Along with this, the long-term plan (more than 2 years) includes the establishment of a special technology zone (STZ) in DHA/DHA City Karachi and the development of a dedicated Silicon Sector in DHA City Karachi.

Participants expressed satisfaction that the Indus Highway IT Hub will fully promote co-working space and IT economic development. MoUs were signed with 19 IT companies including Microsoft during the ceremony.

2) The Indus IT Feast is an annual event that brings together IT professionals and businesses from across Pakistan.
