Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street’s Roy Cropper will get involved in the romantic tension between Carla Connor and Lisa Swain next week, after Lisa rejects Carla.
This week sees Carla’s feelings for Lisa grow as she helps her through an emotional week, before Carla finally admits to Lisa that her feelings for her have begun to run deeper than friendship.
In new scenes that will air next week, Lisa makes it clear to Carla that she isn’t ready to get involved in another relationship just yet following the death of her wife.

But when Carla is attacked by a mystery assailant at Underworld and is rushed to hospital, worried Lisa heads straight to see Carla. Sitting at her bedside, she wills Carla to recover from her injuries.
Later in the week, Roy and Ryan Connor arrive at the hospital to take Carla home as she starts to feel better. She admits to the pair that she was hoping Lisa would be coming home with them, as her feelings continue to play on her mind.
Roy then encourages Lisa to give Carla a chance, telling her that it’s clear that the pair like each other.

But will Lisa take Roy’s words to heart, or will she continue to push Carla away?
Speaking previously about the storyline, Alison King, who plays Carla, said: “It’s been a long time since Carla has had a female friend, somebody who’s actually leaning on her but is also a powerhouse in her own right. Now Lisa is there for her, she’s leaning on Lisa for the first time and it’s becoming quite a confusing friendship.
“Lisa keeps appearing, she’s always there because of that link through Betsy, and there’s a bond growing between them that Carla can’t quite define.”
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, November 25 and Friday, November 29.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
