The Montgomery County prosecutor’s office is bringing back its ArriveSafe program to make sure everyone gets home safe during the holidays.

Montgomery County Prosecutor Matt Heck said that drivers in Montgomery County have no excuse to not have a safe ride home during the holidays.

The program is designed to save lives, and since it was started in 2007, the county has given out nearly 1800 rides.
In the last five years overall in Montgomery County, there have been nearly 3000 OVI-related crashes, resulting in the death of more than 180 people.
The program gains popularity every year.
“I’m happy to see that so many of our community are making the smart decision and doing the right thing and getting home safely after celebrating with alcohol,” Heck said.
