A Fayetteville man reportedly barricaded himself inside his home and held five people hostage for more than six hours on Wednesday, according to a charging document.
Raekwon Demitrius Sparrow, 29, is charged with five counts of first-degree kidnapping and one count each of felony breaking and entering with intent to terrorize or injure, felony domestic violence protection order violation while possessing a deadly weapon, misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor communicating threats and misdemeanor resisting a public officer.
The charging document states that on Nov. 27, Sparrow allegedly broke into his home on the 4500 block of Spinel Drive with a weapon and violated a protection order. Inside were five individuals, including a 12-year-old and an 18-month-old child.

The record states that the protection order was issued and served Monday.

After entering the home, Sparrow allegedly threatened to kill a man and struck him in the head with a 5.56-caliber rifle, according to the charging document.
The charging document states that Sparrow held the five individuals captive for more than six hours, refusing to come out of the house or release the hostages.
Sparrow was arrested at 6:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning. He is being held in the Cumberland County jail without bail.
