Crash causes lanes to close on busy US 501 in Myrtle Beach area. Drivers can expect delays

Lanes of U.S. 501 are blocked after a commercial vehicle crashed into a utility pole Sunday morning.

Horry County Fire Rescue responded to the area near Seaborn Drive at 10:24 a.m., according to a Facebook post.

The lanes heading toward Conway are blocked as lines are down across the roadway, the post said.

No one was transported to the hospital with injuries, the post said.

Crews are working to repair the damaged pole and officials are asking drivers to stay away from the area to avoid delays.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
