UPDATE: All lanes on Gateway West at Airway remain closed, according to TxDOT, as of 8 p.m. Airway Southbound at Viscount is also closed.
Traffic is continuing through on the Hawkins on-ramp to I-10 West.
TxDOT says major backup is still in the area and clearing time is until further notice.
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – All lanes at Gateway West at Airway are closed Tuesday, July 2 due to a crash, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
TxDOT said through traffic motorists to use Hawkins. On ramp onto Intestate 10 West the backup is to Hawkins. The clearing time is until further notice.
A spokesperson with the El Paso Fire confirmed to KTSM that six people were taken to a local hospital. Three people sustained minor injuries, two people sustained moderate injuries and one person sustained serious injuries.
