Axe-Wielding Man Attacks Car on Memphis Highway
Police in Memphis, Tennessee, were searching for a suspect who attacked a car with an axe following a rear-end collision on Saturday, February 22, according to local reports.The victim told police he and his girlfriend were inside their car when they accidentally rear-ended the suspect’s vehicle.According to reports, the suspect then exited, began yelling, and retrieved the axe from his vehicle before striking the victim’s car multiple times — smashing the front windshield, back windshield, and side.After vandalizing the vehicle, the suspect got back into his car and drove away, reports said.Witnesses were able to give officers the axe-wielding man’s license plate number, reports said, but he had not yet been apprehended.Police said the suspect was facing charges of aggravated assault.
